150 years Libeco-Lagae

The 22 November 2008 we celebrated the 150th anniversary of the company. For this grand occassion we rolled out the red carpet an invited all our collaborators and their family to discover the factory. We also had a visit from the Governor of the Province Mr. Paul Breyne, many politicians and the Mayor.
A day to remember!

At the anniversary we presented the book "Believe in Linen" the history of the company - it was a highlight of the day. A contribution to the men and women who have made this company what it is today.

Yet another highlight of the day was a superb gift from all our employees who commissioned the artist Marc Claerhout to create a sculpture - the essence of course is linen. It's a beautiful piece.

During the celebration, the children of our personnel were able to show their creativity in our children's atelier. We hung a Libeco-Lagae painters canvas on the wall, printed with the number 150 and "BELIEVE IN LINEN" for all the children to use as their canvas!  We now have this fantastic artwork which will hang in a very special place in our factory, as a souvenir of that great day!
